Allison's Birthday
This weekend was Allison's Birthday Party. It was very well planned with lots of games, great food and non- stop excitement. The kids all had a great time and it was fun to celebrate Allison turning 11 years old.

Weekend Fun
This is Ben--I'm taking my first stab at making an entry. I'm doing it because I have to say how impressed I am by the things Alicia has found for us to do each weekend. We went to a football game, fall festival, and an amazing park Friday and Saturday.
On Friday the weather was so nice and Brent said, "Mommy, I want to go to a football game." Alicia got on the internet and found a high school game for us to go to. We were shocked and overwhelmed by the production of it all.
The Colleyville dance team had 68 members and they were doing their kicks like the Rockettes of Radio City Music Hall. Half time was more like the Super Bowl than a High School football game. By the time they had finished introducing the lieutenants, captains, spirit leaders, shoe shiners, and assistant to the assistant towel girls, the 20 minutes for 1/2 time was almost up. The band had an 18 wheeler sitting out front of the stadium for their equipment and it had a paint job that would make even Mack (of the movie "CARS") jealous.
As for the football--not that impressed. That must be why Oklahoma beat Texas this year.
Brent and Kaylee loved it. They didn't want to leave until 9:45 p.m.(a few minutes into the third quarter and after the 40+ minute half time celebration). In between the bands Brent wanted to stand outside of the locker rooms to look for the football players. It was GREAT!
Saturday we went to a festival celebrating the town of Roanoke. They had train rides, food, police, ambulance and fire trucks. And a fun festive feeling. They had closed down main street in Roanoke for the fun. (Alicia found this one on the internet too). We topped off the day playing for almost two hours at one of the funnest parks I have ever been to.

Stockyard
We went to the Historic Stockyards on Saturday. It was fun to see the steers walking down the street. They do this daily at 11:30 and 4:00. We visited the Fort Worth City barn where many of the horses and other animals are kept. Brent really enjoyed seeing the horses, but hesitated to touch one. Afterwards, we went to Cracker Barrel and had a great lunch/breakfast.
Pumpkin Patch
In Flower Mound, Texas, they have a great pumpkin Patch on a couple's farm. We went one evening after work and the kids loved it. They had a hay ride, bounce houses and wagons to pull the kids and the pumpkins. Kaylee loved Bob the Builder that was placed among the pumpkins and Brent loved the bounce house slides. The farm house was decorated really cute for fall.
We put together a video real quick to see how it looked on line.
